Relax and Give Thanks

The past few months have been so crazy, busy that I didn’t allow myself the time to Relax and Give Thanks.
Expressing gratitude can be done the moment you wake up. Before you even let your feet touch the ground, start by saying “thank you for a new day”, “thank you for breath”, and then get out of bed and look around at all that you have to be thankful for and express it. Enjoying Nature Indoors at Phipps

Chihuly Glass Sculptures Last Friday my husband and I were off so we decided to spend the day at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Phipps was established in 1893 in Pittsburgh, PA. Badtitude Much?

I’ve had too much of a badtitude the last 24 hours. That’s right, Badtitude. For some reason that expresses how I feel. I’m angry and I’m having a pity party. What I am learning from this badtitude is that sometimes we just have to allow ourselves to go to that uncomfortable zone. … Continue reading Badtitude Much?

Flowers and Mocha The Beauty of Impermanence

I love this time of year. Everything is in bloom, the days are longer and warmer.  I love to sit out on my deck. It overlooks woods and is in the back of my house. In the morning, upon awakening, I go downstairs, put on a pot of coffee, heat up a combo of almond and soymilk in preparation for my morning mocha. I love the ritual of preparing the drink, getting it just the right strenght, sweetness and temperature and pairing it with a small morsel of something sweet. While the coffee is brewing and the milk combo is … Continue reading Flowers and Mocha The Beauty of Impermanence

Family Dining Al Fresco

I love this time of year. Everything is coming alive, the days are getting longer and warmer and today was the first day my family and I dined al fresco on our deck in 2015. It was the perfect way to wind down after a work and school day. We took our time enjoying our meal and eachothers’ company. No one was rushed to get anywhere or do anything. We sat in leisure eating good food and conversing.  It was a reminder to me to allow myself to relax and just enjoy the simple pleasures in life. I’m feeling very … Continue reading Family Dining Al Fresco
