Enjoying Nature Indoors at Phipps

Chihuly Glass Sculptures Last Friday my husband and I were off so we decided to spend the day at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. Phipps was established in 1893 in Pittsburgh, PA. Flowers and Mocha The Beauty of Impermanence

I love this time of year. Everything is in bloom, the days are longer and warmer.  I love to sit out on my deck. It overlooks woods and is in the back of my house. We sat in leisure eating good food and conversing.  It was a reminder to me to allow myself to relax and just enjoy the simple pleasures in life. I’m feeling very … Continue reading Family Dining Al Fresco

Grateful for the Simple Summer Pleasures

I love being outside, especially first thing in the morning. We recently moved and have acres of woods at the the back of our house. I look forward to having my morning coffee on the back deck. It is very serene. I sit and listen to the symphony of birds as they perform their morning song. This morning I was greeted by a beautiful moth on my deck floor. Unfortunately the moth was dead, but the colors were captivating. I tried to get a close up picture of the moth so you could appreciate how beautiful it is. Then I … Continue reading Grateful for the Simple Summer Pleasures
