We had a break in temperature today. It got up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday, then a couple of storms passed through and cooled things down. It is now 71 degrees with a high of 76 degrees.
Do you welcome the new season, or do you cling to the warm, summer days?

I feel fortunate to be living in a region where we still have 4 seasons and while other regions in the country and world are dealing with severe droughts, fires or and/or other extreme weather…flooding, we have been have relatively nice weather.
Yesterday’s high temperatures have not been the norm this summer. I used to dream, more like fantasize, about living in the warmer climate, close to or on the beach. As I mature, I come to appreciate what I have right where I live; and as we see more severe weather pass through the “desirable” resort regions, I find myself being more grateful for the four seasons region where I live.

I was once told by a wise woman that she welcomed whatever the weather of the day was. It didn’t matter to her if it was raining, snowing, hot or cold. She embraced it. And her mood was reflective of that attitude. She was always cheerful, kind and loving. Her comment stuck with me. So when I find myself whining about the weather, I remember the wise woman’s words and express my gratitude for the weather of the day(severe weather excluded, of course).

So, yes, I welcome the changing of the season. I already bought my first plant-based pumpkin spice creamer to help set the cozy mood that I associate with Fall and am contemplating bringing out of storage of few sweaters or throws to have nearby to wrap around me when I feel the first chill of the season.

How do you embrace the new season, that is if you are in a four season region?
