Homegrown from my Italian mother-in-law’s garden

Don’t you just love home grown vegetables? I do and fortunately for me, since I don’t have a green thumb, my Italian mother-in-law does and loves to grow them.

Hubby and I have been married for almost 30 years and we have reaped the benefits of my mother-in-law’s green thumb every summer.

She grows everything from different types of lettuce to peas, beans, cucumbers, radicchio(haven’t seen any of that lately maybe she is keeping it for herself?), rapini, zucchini, eggplant and more.

So, I just basically told you what is in my goodie bag, but I also shared in the second video what I made for dinner that night with some of the ingredients.

I feel so lucky to have access to such fresh and delicious veggies. It makes my plant-based lifestyle so much easier in the summertime. Everything is so flavorful and full of nutrients!

Do you have access to your own garden or are you lucky like me and have someone you know who shares their garden of plenty with you?
