Vacationing and dieting challenge

I’m currently at the beach on vacation. My husband and daughter are taking a stroll on the beach and I’m chilling under an umbrella.

I’m doing pretty well on my diet, I’m into my third week. I was hoping to lose more weight than I have so far. I’m down 4 lbs. I have to admit it’s much harder following The Fast Metabolism diet while vacationing. I can’t always stick exactly to what’s allowed in each phase because restaurants don’t always prep food according to one’s dietary needs, but I’m still following it as closely as I can.

One good thing about The Fast Metabolism Diet is it’s relatively healthy. It’s all Whole Foods, lots of fruits and veggies, lean, low-fat protein, no sugar, and lots of water, so even if I’m not 100% on my game, I’m still eating healthy foods and exercising.

We’re vacationing at the beach and everything is accessible by bike. We arrived yesterday evening and have already biked to dinner, the grocery store, to get our morning coffee and the beach. We biked about 20 miles so far and still have more planned for the day.

I don’t have a scale available to weigh myself right now, but I’m paying close attention to what I eat, so I’m confident my weight will either dip or at least stay the same by the time our vacation ends. I guess I’ll just have to take it one day at a time and wait and see when I return home. Will keep you posted.
