Where Are Your Thoughts Before Bedtime?

What are you doing right before you doze off at night? Are you watching the news? Are you reading a book? Are you reviewing your day and mulling over everything that went wrong with it? Are you panicking about what you didn’t get done at work or home and what you need to do the next day? You might think it’s not a big deal, but essentially you are telling your subconscious mind that these are your intentions and your desires and that is ultimately what your subconscious mind will focus on while you slumber.

The funny thing is, your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between what you do or don’t want, it only knows what you feed it. If you are focusing on negative thoughts and/or all the things you don’t want or like right before bed, you are programming your subconscious mind to focus on those negative thoughts. Ultimately,  your subconscious mind will think that is what you desire and will work with the Universal mind to hep you receive your desires.

A great way to start reprogramming your thoughts and beliefs and ultimately your daily habits is to prepare your thoughts before bedtime. How do you do this you might ask? It’s simple. Replace each negative thought or fear with the opposing thought. Focus on what you desire out of life instead of what you don’t want.

For example, let’s say you have been trying to lose weight for years and each night before bed you tell yourself what a failure you are that you couldn’t even make it through the day without eating an entire bag of chips or cookies. Instead of berating yourself, retell your story in the way that you wanted it to go. For example, instead of telling yourself that you are a fatty and you hate yourself for eating way too much, tell yourself  you are healthy, slender and fit and you make good food choices. See yourself makeing the good food choices, developing healthy eating and exercise habits and fitting into those skinny jeans or whatever it is you dream of wearing, and then say thank you. Always say thank you.

This should be the last thing you do before you fall asleep. Not only will you sleep better, but you will start to notice that your desires are becoming realities. If you believe that you attract what you think or focus on, then you understand that the subconscious mind sends a message to the Universal mind that those are your desires and through the law of attraction, those desires will become reality.

Go ahead and give it a try. What do you have to lose? If nothing else, you will have a good night’s rest because  your last thoughts before you dozed off were your true desires.
