Relax and Give Thanks

Ahh!
Every so often we just have to take a pause from life and chill. That is what I am doing today. The past few months have been so crazy, busy that I didn’t allow myself the time to Relax and Give Thanks.

I should know by now that my days are always better when I make time for meditation and gratitude.  Exercise is something else I do regularly to keep calm. I feel so much better after a quick half hour run.

I realize that sometimes we find it difficult to fit in one of those daily practices, let alone all three. Start out with one or two and add as you are able.

Meditation doesn’t have to be long and you can do it more than once a day. One of my favorite ways to meditate is through the Wim Hof breathing. It calms me and also energizes me and it can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as you would like.

Expressing gratitude can be done the moment you wake up. Before you even let your feet touch the ground, start by saying “thank you for a new day”, “thank you for breath”, and then get out of bed and look around at all that you have to be thankful for and express it. You don’t have to say it out loud, but if you want to that is fine, but do say it with feelings. Really mean it because you will notice how much better you feel when you add emotion to your gratitude.
