This is the perfect title for my post this evening. I’m having all kinds of thoughts from frustration to rage to feeling sorry for myself. I had just finished typing a couple of paragraphs that I thought were pretty decent for tonight’s post and managed to drop my Ipad and delete the post in the process. To top things off, when I went to retrieve the Ipad, I got a bad cramp in my foot. Additionally, it’s 11:45 p.m. and I’m awake because I am sick. I have a sore throat, runny nose, cough, fatigue and overall feeling not so great. So I thought, what a better time to write how important it is to monitor our thoughts, especially when we are under the weather.
It’s much easier to stay positive and motivated when we are well and when things seem to be going our way, but how are we when things go south? When things don’t seem to be going your way, or you are feeling under the weather? It is imperative that you monitor your thoughts. It’s so easy during this time to have a major pity party and start counting all the reasons why you feel like crap and the universe isn’t on your side.
What kind of thoughts run through your head when you are ill or things don’t seem to be going your way? I bet you will discover there is a lot of negativity swirling around in there.
I made it through the night, a lot easier I might add after I caught myself having a pity party. In fact it was during my monitoring of my thoughts that I decided it would be the perfect subject for my next blog.
Until the next time, stay fit, happy and healthy, and most importantly be aware of your thoughts
